Municipal Court
The Municipal Court has jurisdiction over municipal crimes and traffic violations (as defined by the Grafton Municipal Code) that occur within the City of Grafton. The Municipal Court does not have jurisdiction over juveniles (age 17 and younger), except in certain specified circumstances relating to the operation of a motor vehicle.
- The Municipal Judge is elected for a four-year term and must be licensed to practice law.
- The Municipal Prosecutor is appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council.
- The Clerk of Court is responsible for the administration of court records and oversees all recordkeeping matters but cannot provide legal advice.
